As a basketball coach statistical anaylsis of a game is an important element. We have to keep statistics to track our team and individual players progress. We have a Sports Information Director who tracks all of our statistics during games. I also use statistics on our opponents to determine their strengths and weaknesses when game planning. The saying is numbers dont lie.

Online Web Pages have great benefits. I like how you can have all of your personal information on your own personal web page. You can have several pages that can not only include your blogs but your resume, education and professional experience. You can also add different pages such as your philosophy, surveys and links to your social networks, and professional pages. If your personal web page is attractive like any other web page you will attract traffic.

The articles have great points and I agree that podcasting is very beneficial in the education setting. I have personally now in the last six months experience podcasting at the graduate level and I love it. Podcasts are also convenient that they can be downloaded to any mp3 player and listened to on the go. As long as instructors keep their podcasts inetractive and educational it will attract students and podcasts will continue to grow in the education setting. Podcasting can be great for all sports Officials. I rather download the rules and listen to them via podcast as well as watch video on plays. Podcasting can really help me in my officiating career and prepare me for games mentally if I can visuallysee and hear about the rules and plays prior to the game. i think many other officials currently would love this idea if they have not downloaded the rules and Im sure many have downloaded video on their ipod or ithouch. 

I have discovered how simple it is to build a simple website in minutes. I really enjoy technology and am digging this class thus far. I thought it was very complicated to build a site which Im sure it is the more technical you get but if you need to make a basic site you can in minutes. I am huge on business and now that I have created my own site and blogs.  In the last few weeks several business ideas have emerged that would include building a website. 

Jumping off "Da Big Rock" on the island of Oahu in Hawaii is a complete thrill. When I first arrived at the beach I was a little nervous. Lots of tourist were around and locals who were swimming around, jumping and diving off Da Big Rock. I walked to the top of the Rock, which was actually the scariest part. Once I got to the top it took me a few minutes to get the butterflies settled. Dozens of people were jumping back to back. Once I noticed everyone surviving I decided to jump. Oh man my stomache dropped and I screamed then splash! After the first jump I did it several more times. This is a must do for all travelers traveling to Oahu. You must jump off Da Big Rock during summer months.

The authors made a great point throughout the article that the use of blogs can be very effective in the higher education sector. Blogging has the potential to be a transformational technology for teaching and learning (Williams and Jacobs, 2004).  Technology is booming today and the use of blogs can be very effective in the education sector because it is a way to get students to formulate and express their own ideas and opinions. I think blogging can be very effective for students who dont normally voice their opinion but feel comfortable expressing themselves through writing. The key to the popularity of blogs, it seems, is the scope for interactivity(Jacobs and Williams). Most istructors want interacivity in the classroom and blogs will serve this purpose. Writing a blog assists here because it forces a student to confront their own opinions and contemplate how their views might be(Jacobs and Williams). I agree with Williams and Jacobs that blogs have the potential to be a transformational technology for teaching and learning. The use of blogs may take students sometime to learn but with training they will understand.
